Once Upon a Mindful Midnight

It all started when…

In the midst of a battle with insomnia back in 2012, I turned to an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course. While it didn't miraculously solve my sleep struggles, it did something unexpected—it helped me navigate the complexities of insomnia and reconnect with myself, eventually leading to a restful night's sleep. Mindfulness wasn't just a practice; it became the cornerstone of my daily existence, influencing my thoughts, words, and actions.

Inspired by my personal journey, the programs at LMIM are crafted to guide you through life's challenges and to sharpen your awareness of goodness and gratitude. They're tailored to help you explore the depths of mindfulness, transform stress into opportunity, and foster self-compassion and awareness to navigate life's twists and turns with grace.

To deepen my understanding, I've delved into the Buddhist tradition at the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies and the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center (CIMC). Yet, it's crucial to note that while my path includes Buddhist studies, all LMIM offerings are secular—we focus exclusively on mindfulness as a universal practice accessible to all.

With over a decade of personal mindfulness experience, I bring a wealth of professional expertise to the table. I hold a master's degree in mindfulness studies from Lesley University and am certified to teach mindfulness through the MMTCP program led by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. Additionally, I earned a bachelor's in psychology from Bridgewater State University and pursued graduate-level courses in health communication from Emerson College and Tufts Medical School. Currently, I serve on the board of the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center and teach a mindfulness course at College Unbound in Providence, RI.

I owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude to my life partner, Lance, and the myriad friends, peers, students, mentors, and life events that have shaped and supported me on this journey.

At LMIM, we cherish collaboration and community. While I lead as founder and facilitator, our strength lies in our collective wisdom and diverse perspectives. Together, we foster an environment of growth, drawing inspiration from each other's unique insights and experiences. Join us on this transformative journey toward mindfulness and well-being.
